 Eight Simple but Effective Tips to Lose Weight
Do you have a problem managing your weight? People with weight issues usually look for easy but effective weight loss programs in the newspaper, on TV, and in the Internet. I’ve selected these eight tips I’ve tried because they were simple, easy and really helped me lose those unwanted pounds. So if you want to know how to lose those bulges and maintain your ideal weight then this list is just for you!
  1. Have a Healthy Breakfast (Especially Cereal) – During breakfast you eat fewer calories, less saturated fat, cholesterol and have a better overall nutritional status. According to Nielsen’s National Eating Trends Survey, those who ate their cereal on a regular basis were fitter than those who rarely ate cereal or didn’t eat any at all. Having breakfast also helps lessen the chances of you eating junk food during your break or snack time.
  2. Eat Slowly – A study shows that it takes 15 to 20 minutes from the time you start eating for the brain to signal that you are already full. The people who eat slowly and take smaller bites consume fewer calories compared to those who finish eating quickly.
  3. Take Herbal Supplements To Help Meet Your Daily Nutrition Requirements – Supplements play a key role in helping dieters meet their required daily nutrition. In a review published in the Journal of the American Dietetic Association, researchers noted that “the goal in planning weight-reduction diets is that total intake from food and supplements should meet recommended dietary allowance and/or adequate intake levels.” If nutrient levels from food sources in the diet fall short, a multivitamin-mineral combination may be helpful.
  4. Don’t Ever Skip Meals – If you think skipping meals will help you lose weight, you’re absolutely wrong because the next meal you eat will only be converted into pure FATs that may cause more weight gain.
  5. Add Fruits and Vegetables To Your Meals – It’s another way of helping you reduce your calorie intake per meal.
  6. Drink at Least Eight Glasses Of Water Daily – Drinking a lot of water may help you feel full, flush out all the unwanted waste in your body, and aids digestion too.
  7. Exercise! – This is perhaps the most common and most effective way to lose weight (you’ll find it in every other list). For your weight loss plan to be successful, you should exercise at least 30 minutes every five days or 10 minutes per day in a five-day span. Find an activity you enjoy like walking or jogging with your friends to avoid the “no time for exercise” habit and get positive benefits on your part.
  8. Get Better Sleep – Lack of proper sleep may lead to overeating. A study shows that there are two specific hormones involved in this theory.  Ghrelin stimulates food intake and Leptin tells the brain when it’s time to stop eating. When you’re sleep deprived, your ghrelin levels increase while your leptin levels decrease. You tend to eat more and not feel full as a result of your reaction to these two hormones.
